Compliance

The rules are a design input, not a final check.

Most brands find out a product is not allowed after the recipe is fixed and the artwork is at the printer. We check ingredients, limits, claims and labels while the formulation is still a file — because at that stage a fix costs an afternoon.

How it fits

You do not buy compliance separately.

It is part of every way of working with us. What changes between levels is not whether you get it — it is how deep it goes, and how much of it is about your specific product.

What deepens as you move up

How specific it is

A general answer about your category, or a verdict on your exact recipe and your exact label.

When it happens

Once, when you ask — or every time the formulation changes.

How long it lasts

Up to launch, or through production as the product and the rules keep moving.

Who runs it

Us, on request — or your own regulatory team, on our system.

What does not change

We work in six categories and say no outside them.

Everything is checked against the requirements applicable at the time.

Findings come back graded by how serious they are, with the fix.

We never tell you a claim is fine when the evidence is not there.

The four levels

What you get, what it protects you from, what happens next.

The same three questions, answered for each way of working.

01

Build Pass

Free

For a team working out what to build, before anything is committed.

  • A compliance pre-check on any digital formulation you buy — the obvious problems, flagged before you go further.
  • Every library brief tells you the regulatory route the product sits on.
  • Ask the copilot a plain question about a category, an ingredient or a claim.
  • Buy any single review on its own, from ₹4,999 — label, claims, ingredients or full FSSAI.
The risk this manages

Building toward a product or a claim that was never going to be allowed. You find out in week one instead of after a trial batch.

What happens next

If a review turns up something serious, you can order a fix as a single service, or take the whole product into a Build.

What a Build Pass includes
02

Build

from ₹49,990 / project

For one product you are taking all the way to a first batch.

  • Compliance is one of the five stages, not an add-on. Ingredients, additive levels, claims and artwork are checked against the rules for your category.
  • Every claim tested against the threshold it has to meet, with the calculation shown.
  • Label copy corrected before artwork goes to print.
  • The findings and the cleared label copy are part of the Buildfile you own.
The risk this manages

Reformulating after artwork is approved, or printing packaging you cannot legally sell. Both are expensive, and both are avoidable at the file stage.

What happens next

You hold a technical file with the compliance work inside it. If you take the product to production, that file is what the factory and your buyers ask for.

How Build works
03

Co-Build

from ₹1,49,000 / year

For a brand running several products a year, into and through production.

  • Everything in Build, on every product we fund.
  • Regulatory work continues after launch. Part of the production fee is what funds quality, regulatory and documentation while the product is being made.
  • Ask us a compliance question about any product in your pipeline, whenever it comes up.
  • Compliance evidence is assembled into the Factory Scale Passport for each product.
The risk this manages

A product that was compliant at launch and drifts — an ingredient swapped at the factory, a new claim added by marketing, a rule that has changed since. Someone is still looking at it.

What happens next

Each product carries its own compliance record through production. When something changes, you ask and we work it through against the requirements that apply then.

How Co-Build works
04

Enterprise

from ₹11,99,900 / year

For a company with its own regulatory people, running a portfolio.

  • The compliance engine runs inside your own system, on your own portfolio — checked as your team works, continuously, not once at the end.
  • Claims intelligence: where a claim will not stand, it is rewritten so it does.
  • Named seats for regulatory staff, seeing the part of the system their role needs.
  • Approval steps set up the way your company already signs work off.
The risk this manages

Compliance living in separate files, checked by one person, at the end. Here it is a constraint every formulator sees while they work.

What happens next

Scope, modules, seats and workflows are agreed before the agreement is signed — including where your data sits and who inside your company can see what.

How Enterprise works
The work itself

Five reviews. Each one you can buy on its own.

These are the same reviews that run inside a Build and a Co-Build. On a Build Pass you can order any of them separately, see exactly what comes back, and pay for that one thing.

01

FSSAI compliance check · from ₹4,999

Your formula, ingredients, claims and label reviewed against the requirements that apply to your category. Every issue comes back graded by how serious it is, with the fix. Findings by severity, fixes, category verdict. 2–3 working days.

02

Claims review · from ₹4,999

Each claim tested against the threshold it has to meet. Where a claim does not hold, you get the calculation and a version that does. Claim-by-claim verdict, threshold maths, compliant rewrites. 2–3 working days.

03

Ingredient compliance · from ₹4,999

Whether each ingredient is permitted in your category, at the level you are using, and what has to appear on the label because of it. Ingredient status, permitted levels, declaration needs.

04

Label & artwork review · from ₹4,999

A pre-print check of mandatory declarations, font sizes, allergen statements and how the nutrition panel is set out and placed. Marked-up artwork, corrected copy, placement notes.

05

Regulatory review · from ₹4,999

The full position for a product: which category it falls in, which standards apply, the licensing route, and what each market you are selling into requires.

Some claims need a number from a lab, not an opinion. We pick the panel, route the samples and read the results against your specification; where the panel requires an NABL-accredited lab, it goes to one. Charged at lab cost and approved by you first — see Labs & Network. Scope, inputs and deliverables for each review are listed on Pricing.

Being straight

Where our work ends and yours begins.

Compliance advice is worth nothing if you cannot tell what it covers. So, plainly:

What we do

Review your formulation, ingredients, claims and label against the requirements that apply at the time we look.

Tell you what is wrong, how serious it is, and how to fix it.

Rewrite a claim so it holds, or tell you it cannot be made.

Route testing to a lab when a rule needs a measured result.

Assemble the evidence into a record your factory and your buyers can read.

What we do not do

We are not your lawyer, and none of this is legal advice.

We do not grant approvals or issue certification. Neither does anyone but the authority.

We do not guarantee that a product will be accepted, or that a claim will never be challenged.

We do not hold your licences. Those stay in your name and are your responsibility.

We do not monitor the regulatory landscape for you and send alerts.

Regulations change. Every review is carried out against the requirements applicable at the time it is done, for the category and markets you tell us about. A review from last year is a record of last year. Where a decision carries real legal or financial exposure, take it to a professional who can advise on your specific situation — and use our findings as the technical input to that conversation, which is what they are good for. Formal responsibility is yours at every level.

Compliance

Find the problem while it is still a file.

A fix at the formulation stage costs an afternoon. The same fix after artwork is approved costs a print run.
